TMC, C.H. Robinson, and the clients we serve are committed to giving back to our local communities. And our involvement isn't just limited to charitable donations. We believe in being active participants.
Resource Center
We recently teamed up with Greg Olsen of the Chicago Bears and his foundation, Receptions for Research, to help the fight against cancer—a disease that most of us have encountered in some capacity. In 2009, Greg and members of his family started Receptions for Research in honor of Greg's mother Susan, who is now an eight-year breast cancer survivor.
Since 2003, TMC and C.H. Robinson host a large-scale kickball event on the Chicago, Illinois, lakefront to raise support and awareness for a great cause, and this year's Kicks for a Cure event will benefit Receptions for Research. Over the past several years, the kickball events have raised more than $750,000 for charitable causes.
There are several ways you can get involved:
- Donate products. Our players will need juice, water, snacks, and more. This event requires a small-scale supply chain!
- Get a team together and play. Each team must raise a small amount of money to participate, but these amounts add up quickly to make a big impact. To sign up, visit the Kicks for a Cure website.
- Volunteer your time. Securing individuals to referee games is our biggest challenge, but refereeing is an easy way for you to contribute—and you might even get to referee professional football players!
- Purchase a day pass. If you don’t want to play but would like to be a spectator, you can purchase an individual day pass or a group of day passes.
- Donate money to the cause. Every donation counts, big or small. Donate Now.
- Spread the word. Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to participate in the event and direct them to our Facebook page and the Greg Olsen video on YouTube.
